Who would have ever thought I would be an avid reader after reading cliff notes to get through many classical pieces of literature in college. Over the past year I have tried to expand my horizon beyond reading for ministry or counseling.
Currently on the nightstand I have
Night
by Elie Wiesel. This is one of those books to expand my horizon.
Currently reading
Healing the Wounds of Sexual Addiction
for a better understanding from a therapeutic standpoint. Many of the counseling sessions I have had with couples and individuals over the last several months have roots with online pornography. Mark Lasser is known as one of the pioneers in this particular field.
Then I will be starting
Living the Cross Centered Life: Keeping the Gospel the Main Thing in a few days. I am looking forward to this book. I have not read any
CJ Mahaney books. This book appears to be a book that should be to the point but deep. (They say not to judge a book by its cover, oh well.)
There a few other books I need to get to, but right now I need to focus on finishing and processing a these to provide better counseling for clients.
