For those of you that may be new to reading my blog or at least I hope there are one or two people who will begin to read my humble ramblings I wanted to take a brief moment to remind myself and others about the value of blogging in my life. Here are a few reasons why I blog.
- It allows me to get the thoughts in my head processed a little more clearly.
- As a minister I want to be able to connect with the teens, parents, and church body in another format that may be encouraging to you.
- I am not the best at correcting grammatical skills, but that would not improve if I do not write often and try to improve my writing abilities.
- There are a couple of resources that I can get free books as long as I post an honest review about the book. (There will be several coming over the next week. I have four that I need to write a review on and I have one on the way in the mail.)
- Possibly one day I will write a book and this is a good platform to share those future ideas.
- When writing curriculum for class or preaching I always try to gather my thoughts in an outline and manuscript. I have noticed when I am not blogging or writing as often this thoughts are hard to get down on paper.
- I thank God for using a few blog post in the past to encourage others. May God continue to use this little space on the web for His glory.
Thanks for reading. I look forward to getting back in the groove soon.
