God continues to teach me lessons through my beautiful girls. One of those lessons continues to come each time we go to the Chick-fil-A playground. Over the last several months God has been teaching me the lesson of adventure.
Kennedie has slowly been making progress each time we go to the playground at Chick-fil-A and by progress I imply going up to the top and thinking about coming down the slide. Not sure why at this particular playground it has taken Kennedie longer to conquer versus other playgrounds we visit. For example, the playground which we frequent in our neighborhood she runs, jumps, swings, and goes down the slides with ease. At the chicken place she has been more timid. One possible reason is because she cannot completely see me or Jessica at certain places within this particular playground. I have been cheering her on to climb to the top and slide down. Each time we go I get a little more excited that today will be the day in which she conquers the playground. Well, this past week she made it all the way to the top and down the slide two times and I was bubbling with joy for her new adventure.
God is cheering us on in the same way I cheer Kennedie to take on the world which awaits or the playground. However, I often think it takes us much longer than a few months, possibly years or even never to go down the slide. I wonder if God is cheering us on to strive for the top, but because we are timid we fail to trust Him and run to the top. There is no doubt places God is calling us to go and He is cheering us on every step of the way.
May you hear the voice of your Father today who is calling your name and cheering you to the top. May we ask Him to remove the fear and doubt. May you trust His voice to lead you on a grand adventure which awaits.
