Generational Coffee

When I was around 7, having coffee on Saturday morning was a tradition that only the "big" people got to participate in at my aunt's house outside of Abilene, TX. After staying up late with my cousins watching movies, we would slowly arise from the dead and make our way into the kitchen for breakfast. I recall a bakers dozens worth of memories about the adults sitting around the kitchen table talking. I always wondered what they were talking about and why in the world would they drink black coffee together.

This blog will explore not only what the "big" people where talking about then, but will look at the various forms of communication today. Have you ever said something and the receiver did not interpret what you were saying the right way? Or have you interpreted what someone else said only to get yourself in trouble later? Java Junction is a movement to look into the differences and similarities between communication. Communication may be one of the most misunderstood truths of relationships because we are often seeking to be understood instead of seeking to understand.
