Footsteps

Marketing guru Seth Godin had an interesting line in one of his post recently that said, "Highlight the floor of the trade show and let me see which paths are walked the most. Or give me glasses that let me follow in the footsteps of people I admire. Or let me walk on the paths no one else is walking on." 

Oh how I desire to walk in the footsteps of Christ. I desire to walk in the footsteps of a few mentors who have led me closer to the footsteps of Christ. I desire to help others see the footprints of Jesus so they can walk in His ways. And how I desire to lead others on a new path that will pave the way for others to follow closer to Christ. As the ancient Rabbi's said, "May you be covered in the dust of your Rabbi." The saying refers to a young disciple walking so close to his Rabbi that the dust from the ground would cover you because you are close to his presence as you journey down the dusty roads. My prayer today is that I will be covered in the dust of my Rabbi, Christ.
