Do you ever feel like your reading list grows every week? Currently my shopping cart at Amazon has at least 12 books I would like to read right now. Not only that but I have a list of books I could get from the public library to save money on books I know I would only read once. There is one particular book I enjoyed two years ago and then mailed to a friend for him to enjoy and pass on. Not to mention any names, but he lost the book. This summer I received an e-mail to get the book for free and one other as long as I read them and then link to their blog or webpage. The first is The Art of Listening Prayer by Seth Barnes and the second is Red Letters by Tom Davis . The Art of Listening Prayer is an outstanding book for anyone who desires to go on a journey of listening to God through your prayers as you journal your prayers and write responses down. Red Letters appears to be a very appealing book as you look at the "red letters" of Christ throughout the gospels. I am sure it will be a challenging read becasue the teachings of Jesus were simple yet complex in our modern world of selfishness.
