The past week has been a week of celebration and thanksgiving. Yesterday as we took of the Lord's Supper and gave thanks I was reminded of the simple phrase, "You are what you eat." Many of us spent Thursday indulging ourselves with an abundance of food. Then Sunday took time to remember and give thanks to Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.
We do not indulge ourselves during this meal, but simply remember the power of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. As we take the meal our lives are to be transformed into the image of Christ. If you took the meal are you becoming what you eat or has the meal simply become a mundane routine?
May we all remember to indulge in Christ and become like him when we eat the Lord's Supper.
