No One Cares About Your Money

Last night Jessica and I listened to Dave Ramsey's Town Hall for Hope online. Dave is very encouraging, motivating, and inspiring and I am moved to share the hope of Christ today because of last night. I remember running across his Total Money Makeover book 5-6 years ago and flipping through most of the book in the local bookstore in Abilene, TX. Dave's financial guidance is right on target for everyone. His fundamental principle is get out of debt and save money. Sounds pretty simple, right. This principle takes great discipline for the average person and people are reaching their dreams because of self discipline.

If you are disciplined here are three simple steps to take today:
  1. No one cares about your money as much as you do. Take interest in reading financial books from all aspects.
  2. Remember when you meet with a financial advisor odds are they do not care about your money as much as you do. Take interest in learning from several different people including different advisors.
  3. If you are disciplined and you understand no one cares about your money as much as you do, then you will be able to asses all information and make a decision that best suits your needs and probably be able to handle most aspects of your money without an advisor.
Disclaimer: I am not a financial expert and do not care about your money as much as you do.

Books I have read coming in a future post.
