Traditionally when one would say "conversation" we would automatically think face to face or at least a phone conversation.
Well, our conversation happened via Google chat within Gmail. Now chatting has been around for ages on the internet, but as the internet changes so does chatting.
The main point of our conversation was that using social networking tools is a matter of building better relationships.
Truth be told Robert and I were good friends in Abilene when he was serving as the youth minister and I was assisting him with teaching and serving in the church.
When we moved, our relationship dwindled. Probably because we both did not invest anything into the relationship to allow our relationship to grow. Recently he has asked me to get involved in Vertigo Events (more on this later) and because of his investment in me we have now been able to build a better relationship through technology (Chatting, Video chatting, Facebook, and Blogging).
Today I have spent some valuable time trying to invest in relationships online via these formats. This is not about me, but about building and maintaining relationships for His purpose.
So how are you using the social networking sites to build or maintain relationships?
