Paid Ministers

Had a deep conversation today with a great friend about our struggle as paid ministers?

This is something I have wrestled with prior to becoming a paid minister.

Instead of trying to recap our conversation check out what this church planter wrote about in his personal struggle as being a paid minister.

There are pros and cons to everything in life and we must ask ourselves and be honest with ourselves about our struggles.

Not sure there is a right or a wrong to being a paid minister, but I think there is a balance we need to strive for. Just as the church planter, I have more questions than answers right now.

One question to help get you started; what is the operation expense percentage of your local church versus ministry expenses? (Loans, bills, salaries, copy machine, etc.) These may be necessary, but this will point towards the heart of your church. Either inward focused or outward focused.
