Moleskin is a masculine word for journal. I started my first Moleskin in May of 2008 and I started my second one yesterday. I am not a prolific writer or journalist, but I do enjoy having the small rugged skin of paper to carry with me. The size I prefer fits perfect with my Bible case and pens. I have used my primarily for jotting down ideas, writing scripture, taking notes about various counseling theories, and writing prayers out. As I heard it once said, "you really don't know what you believe until you can clearly write those thoughts down." My moleskin is a humble attempt in many ways to put the ramblings in my head into action by trying to wrestle with them on paper.
Here are three reasons for you to get started with a Moleskin.
- If you don't have an iPhone you can still look cool with your Moleskin.
- There is a slower pace of life when one sits down with a pen and writes in masculine paper.
- Writing physical words with a pen and paper in our techno world makes then intangible tangible.
