Being Busy is Ignoring the Problem

One of the worst ways we can handle stress, grief, depression, anxiety, and overall emotions that could bring us down is to stay busy. We often think we are doing ourselves a favor or someone else a favor by staying busy and not processing the events that happen in our life. When someone close to you dies tragically one needs to appropriately grieve the lose instead of being busy and pretending as if nothing has happened.

One way to grieve the loss of someone would be to write them a letter sharing ones memories with them and sharing words one regrets not sharing while they were with you. Take time to stop and slow down and process the events of life. Don't pretend like the emotions will go away if you run from them by staying busy.
