Permsion to Ask

Do you have permission to ask questions? Do you dare ask questions when you may get hammered by those who are unable to hear what you are asking? When someone has come to therapy and the therapist has joined with the client we typically try to go possibly where the client does not want to go, but they have given the therapist permission to ask. Allowing people the permission to ask allows us to grow beyond what we know. We often shy away from asking the tough questions because we may be afraid of the answer, but more than likely we are afraid the one answering the question that he or she has not really thought about their response to the question or heard the question.

What questions would you ask if you knew the receiver would hear you and respond in a appropriate context?
