That's a Keeper!!!

So you remember how on Friday I was kind of frustrated about the whole fishing thing and not being able to use "real" bait. Well, who cares when you catch FOUR rainbow trout. Ok...really I caught 3 and the fourth one got off the line. I was SO excited...you see I never catch any fish, but this was a very special day. I was patient and used the same technique and lure for four hours and the discipline paid off. Normally, I am ADD with my lures and think if I change them all the time I will have better luck.

I caught these rainbow trout at Kolob Reservior just on the outskirts of Kolob Canyon of Zion National Park. If you live near this area this is must trip and well worth the drive. One can easily escape the tourism of Zion and be on a isolated lake with only a few other people.

The intergenerational camping trip was amazing, but obivsouly this is the first story to get blogged about. To be honest I was feeling a little bad that I was having such great luck and no one else was catching anything. Thanks to having the best wife ever, she was a huge support and super pumped (probably a little jealous deep down, but nonetheless was a raving fan).

I will leave you with this last picture...19.5 inches...let's call it 20...;)...otherwise I would not be a real fisherman.
