Making Content or Context Decision

Lately I have been curious to why it seems like we make decisions that are based on more content then context.

Content is the lens through which we make micro decisions. Context is the lens through which we make macro decisions. Or said another way, content is a piece of the puzzle and context is the puzzle.

Why do we make decisions so often based on one piece of the puzzle versus the entire puzzle? Yes, it is easier to make several small decisions, but often one cannot make a small decision if he or she does not see the entire puzzle, right?

Our conversations and decisions need to be driven by context not by content. Yes, we need the details, but we must see the bigger picture that helps fuels our content driven conversations.

Which area do you struggle with; the small piece of the puzzle decisions or seeing the entire puzzle? Are your decisions content driven or context driven?
